The rule of 3 in consulting is a communication habit: structure every recommendation, finding or plan around three points, because three is the largest number people reliably remember and the smallest that feels complete. You will see it everywhere in good consulting work: three options (do nothing, quick fix, full solution), three phases (diagnose, implement, embed), three priorities per quarter. For clients, it is a useful quality test in reverse. A consultant who hands you a list of 40 undifferentiated recommendations has not done the hard work of prioritising. Ask them: if we could only do three things this quarter, which three and why? The quality of that answer tells you more than any credentials page.
