Thirty is absolutely not too old to get into consulting; in many ways it is an advantage. By 30 you typically have domain experience, some scar tissue from real projects, and more maturity in handling stakeholders and pressure. Consulting rewards credibility and pattern-recognition more than raw youth. If you can frame your previous roles as evidence of problem-solving, ownership and communication, you can pivot into AI or strategy consulting without starting from scratch. The main challenge is building a small portfolio and network in your new niche, but your age is an asset, not a barrier, as long as you are willing to learn fast.
